JOHN HERTLE AGRICULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP ($3000.00)

This scholarship assists high school students who are interested
in attending a particular Agricultural, Vocational, or Technical program.   

INTERACT/LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP ($500.00 to $6000.00)

Applicant must be a current member of Interact, School Leadership,
or another leadership organization in Stanislaus County.

ED KIMBROUGH FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP ($3000.00)

All fields of study are applicable. Special consideration will be given to
those students pursuing a career in electrical engineering,
electrical apprenticeships, and other related career fields.

MIKE MENSINGER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($3000.00)

All fields of study are applicable. Special consideration will be given to
those students pursuing a career in business and are interested in
becoming a leader in the Modesto community.

Children and grandchildren of Rotarians are encouraged to apply,
as Mike Mensinger was a lifelong member of Modesto Sunrise Rotary.

“MAKE DREAMS REAL” SCHOLARSHIP ($3000.00)

All fields of study are applicable. Special consideration will be given to
those students who have shown a love of community service and
are interested in pursuing a career which involves helping those less fortunate.

CHRIS CURRIE “KIWI STRONG” SCHOLARSHIP ($3000.00)

All fields of study are applicable. Special consideration will be given to
those students who have been touched by cancer or other
health struggle in some way and have persevered through the challenge

Application Criteria:

Must be a graduating Senior accepted to a college,

university, vocational or technical school.

* Essay of 500 words or fewer,

explaining why you are deserving

of the scholarship award.

Include educational goals, character,

accomplishments, and leadership qualities,

& an explanation of financial need.

This essay MUST be specific to the scholarship(s) for which you are applying for.

* Ask (2) people who you know you well (i.e. an appropriate

school representative or a non-family member, qualified to

assess your work ethic and moral character) to write a letter

of recommendation on your behalf.

* Obtain an official copy of your high school transcripts.

* Email the application, essay, transcript and two (2) letters of recommendation:

Recommendations and transcripts will be kept confidential.

Applications will not be accepted without all the listed requirements

in a complete package and must be received by the deadline

of March 31, 2026

  • Academic Success

  • Personal Essay

  • Extracurricular Activities

  • Recommendation Letters

  • Financial Need
